For a city of its size, Reno does special events exceptionally well. The annual Reno Zombie Crawl is another prime example. USA Today calls it one of the ten best costumed halloween parties in the nation. Redbook says it’s the best way to celebrate Halloween in Nevada. And some 15,000 people excitedly count down the days every year. This year’s crawl is October 22 – here’s what you need to know.
Reno Zombie Crawl 2022
The premise of the crawl is pretty simple:
- Buy a cup. This is your ticket to the event, so don’t lose it. Early bird pricing is available if you reserve a cup now. Otherwise, you’ll spend $10 on a cup and map at select costume shops beginning October 1 or other locations helpfully detailed on the official website.
- Get into costume. Dress the part, and go big! This is a huge zombie costume party, remember?
- Make your way to over 40 participating bars, including four resort casinos, all within walking distance. Flash your cup at participating bars for access to over 200 food and drink specials, with no cover charge and all kinds of themed entertainment.
The event officially kicks off at 8 pm at the ReTrac Plaza right next to the Reno Arch. All zombies are invited for the traditional under-the-arch photo and can begin gathering at 7 pm.
The Zombie Crawl is more than just discounted drinks. Your cup and costume means you’ll pay no cover at any of the participating locations, enjoy discounted hotel room pricing at specific downtown resorts, enjoy entry to multiple giveaways and the event’s photo contest, and enjoy themed live entertainment, dancers, and DJs. Oh, and remember – Reno is a 24-hour town. There is no last call.
